Dogpile Search & Rescue
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What Is the Search & Rescue Program?
A: In November of 2008, InfoSpace, Inc. launched the Search & Rescue program on Dogpile, which allowed users to help InfoSpace raise funds for animal rescue just by searching the Web on Dogpile. By the year's end, the program was a success and InfoSpace donated $200,000 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), one of the largest animal welfare organizations in the world. You can learn more about ASPCA by visiting ASPCA on the web at http://www.aspca.org/. ASPCA's recent annual report is available from the State of New York Dept. of Law, Charities Bureau, 120 Broadway, NY, NY 10271.

In 2009, InfoSpace continued the Search & Rescue program to help generate donations for pets in need and has now changed and expanded the program to become Do Great Good, a search engine devoted entirely to supporting charities of all kinds while searching the Web. Now, when you search the Web using the Search & Rescue program on Dogpile or on Do Great Good, 50% of the net revenue generated by your search will be donated by InfoSpace to charities. The more you search, the more you help. Please note that searching the Web on Dogpile outside of the Search & Rescue program will no longer generate additional donation amounts.

Although Do Great Good now supports charities of all kinds, all money raised through the Search & Rescue program on Dogpile will be donated to animal rescue charities.

Through the Search & Rescue program and Do Great Good, InfoSpace has already raised over $200,000 for donations in 2009. To see where our most recent donations for 2009 have gone, please visit www.DoGreatGood.com and visit our frequently asked questions.
